Women in gym changing room

Was at gym yesterday, it is a posh one in a posh town for context and costs a fortune.

I was getting dressed after a class and this woman comes in, moves my stuff across the bench and the sits down on it in front of a locker.

Gets her stuff out then takes all her clothes off and sits butt naked on the bench while putting on all her kit.

These aren't those wooden benches with the slats they are padded cushioned things. I've never seen anyone do this before. I tried to avert my eyes but she was right in front of me and she had a considerably large arse taking up a good proportion of the bench.

So AiBU? Isn't this gross and unhygienic? Could she not have sat on a towel?

I’m not embarrased by my own body or the bodies of others but some people just seem to love wandering around baked, sonetines us seems performative! I was at the gym recently and this woman was stood in front of the mirrors with her leg up on the seat at the dressing mirrors. Completely naked rubbing in cream. I mean if you want to moisturise cool but maybe with knickers on or maybe not with the leg up revealing everything!!

When I exercise I wear leggings. I get all sweaty, my coochie is completely wet either from sweat or other things happening and leaking during exercise and I immagine most of any of my secretions go through my underwear and me leggings when I exercise. I try to be considerate and wipe after me but mostly no one wipes after themselves from what I've seen. My point is when you exercise you are gross, we all are (unless you go there for instagram poses then leave) I treat everything like a bacterial ground in the gym, made peace with it but when i come home i sanitise phone, headphones and put all fabrics in the wash. It is what it is, I don't think a woman's arse has more bacteria then what was already left on that bench by thousand of other users. If you don't want your belongings touching surfaces shove them in plastic bag and hang it or put it in the locker. You can't expect a gym to be sanitised for you. And no need to mention size of arse, that was nasty.

Not excusing people sticking their naked bit in your face, but if I am changing for the gym I will have to sit down at some point as I have arthritis in my knees.
I prefer to change at home, but maybe they cannot

If you’re putting your towel down to sit on the bench, or you have your clothes on, what does it matter?

I am that fat heifer using the communal changing space. So thanks for that.

Isn't this a resurrected very old OP ?????
Word for Word 🤔

You can't expect everyone to have the same hygiene standards unfortunately. I always sit on a towel just to make sure that I'm not sitting where someone else's naked arse has been. I don't use this towel for anything else and it goes straight in the wash once I get home. I also have a floor towel to put my feet on too.

She shouldn’t have moved your stuff

but the rest of it YABU

Gym etiquette is to lay a towel down before you sit down anywhere with your naked bottom.
