Verbal abuse reported to police

I have just reported a neighbour on my road for dangerous driving (excess speed and nearly knocking me down as I crossed) and quite prolonged extreme verbal abuse. I know the car reg and their address and have shared that with police.

they have a baby / toddler who would have been very scared by the shouting and aggression and at risk from the driving, but I don’t know if the baby was in the car.

what is likely to happen?

Unfortunately nothing. They might have a word with him but that is all.

Have you got doorbell cameras? It might make it a bit unpleasant if he knows who reported him, not that it was wrong to do so.

Fortunately the house is on the market and they’ve moved out some time ago (bit of a long story). I do hope they have a word.
