Choices are:

Chicken fajitas
Spag bol
Chicken & mushroom pie & mash

Which would you choose as a Saturday night dinner, Sunday dinner and remainder for Monday night week meal.

It’s raining & cold and we’ll be playing games with Dc later and having popcorn and a movie-which goes with this?

Annnnnnd, what are you having?

Fajitas would always be Saturday and the pie on a Sunday.

BrieAndChilli · 24/01/2026 13:45

Sat - fajitas
Sun - pie and mash
Mon - spag bol

DilemmaDelilah · 24/01/2026 13:46

We are having chicken and vegetable stir fry, so I can't help - sorry! (And apart from spag bol, which we have as a quick meal on days when DH gets home late, I don't actually like your other options)

NuffSaidSam · 24/01/2026 13:47

Definitely pie on Sunday.

Whichever is quicker and easier for the Monday meal and the remaining one on Saturday.

Fajitas would always be Saturday and the pie on a Sunday.

I thought this, but stupidly took the mince out of the freezer before, will it be ok for Monday?

If you put it in the fridge it’ll be fine.

DameOfThrones · 24/01/2026 13:51

Spag bol is going to be easier to reheat on the Monday and it sometimes tastes better.

Anonanonanonagain · 24/01/2026 14:03

Pie of a Sunday? You are all so very weird.

Spag bol for every day of the week for me if i had that option so that is what I would do Sunday and for monday.

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 24/01/2026 14:05

Cool the Bolognese sauce refrigerate them eat it on Monday as it's always better after a few days in the fridge.

Chicken fajitas today
Chicken & mushroom pie & mash tomorrow

Spag bol goes in the bin - I can't eat it now - too many memories of having to eat it constantly at university 25 years ago!

snowdrop75 · 24/01/2026 14:10

Fajitas Saturday night, pie Sunday, spaghetti bolognaise Monday

CoastalCalm · 24/01/2026 14:11

Make the bolognese today and leave it to develop - always so much nicer that way. Saturday says Fajitas to me and Sunday pie and veg

MiddleAgedDread · 24/01/2026 14:15

Fajitas and spag Bol are Saturday night food, pie and mash is Sunday night.

Sat - fajitas
Sun - pie and mash
Mon - spag bol

This.

IamnotSethRogan · 24/01/2026 14:24

I'd have the spaghetti on the Saturday as there's an element of slow cooking involved, but similarly once it's all done you can leave it until you're ready.
Pie on the Sunday and fajitas on the Monday as they're a super quick meal

gingercat02 · 24/01/2026 14:34

DS and I are out tonight (separately) so DH is contemplating pizza.
Tomorrow is fajitas as its the traditional post match meal in our house. DS would eat fajitas every day!
Pie, Monday as its quick and bolognaise Tuesday as it needs to cook for ages and I finish work at lunchtime. Other than Sunday dinner (when I CBA, and we are all at home) and Friday night takeaway we have no rules on days for food.

maddiemookins16mum · 24/01/2026 14:42

For the next three nights we have either Chicken, sausages and minged beef to use up, I’m going

Sat - Chicken stir fry and veg/noodles
Sun - Toad in the hole, mash and veg
Mon - Spaghetti bolognaise

Anonanonanonagain · 24/01/2026 14:45

Minged beef sounds interesting @maddiemookins16mum
