Selling on Vinted

Not an Aibu, but posting for traffic.
I'm new to Vinted and so would like a bit of advice on selecting postage when selling.
You get 3 options:
Small - woild fit in a large letter
Medium - would fit in a shoe bpx
Large - would fit in a moving box.
I am trying to sell a coat. I wil have to select Large for postage.
Do I supply the parcel weight & dimensions in my description? How would Vinted know how much to charge the buyer for postage otherwise?

I'd put medium for a coat unless it's a full length wool one that's very heavy.

@Swaytheboat thank you. It's a boys winter coat so I wouldn't have classed it as large, but it woildn't fit in a shoe box either, so I was a bit confused

Oh definitely medium or if under four years old I'd go small and pack it tight in a plastic bag. I've never had any issues with things being oversize or anything like that.

I sold an adult winter coat, and put that as a Medium. I’ve never used the Large option for clothes.

They aren’t interested in the weight if it is going by Inpost or Evri. Sometimes I need a small locker but the only one available is large. Dont worry about it too much.

Select small. I’ve sold many adult coats and always selected small.
Just fold it up.

I think if you click on each postage option it will give you the weight. It used to anyway.

I've been on Vinted 6 years and always select the smallest no matter what. Never had a problem 😊

if you click on a parcel size it will give you the dimensions and weight restriction for that size. For a coat definitely choose medium (if it fits in a shoebox) or large (if it doesn’t fit in a shoebox).

In terms of weight - Vinted uses 3 sizes: Small (under 500g), Medium (under 1kg), and Large (under 2kg).

In your case I would select Medium.
