To hope the General Strike in Minnesota against Ice and Trump spreads across the US

Decent Americans are standing up to tyranny and dictatorship.
YABU = won’t have any effect
YANBU = it is a match to ignite the bonfire needed to burn down this nightmare

This is what we are seeing now, the administration have tried to use the victim's possession of a legal firearm as an excuse for his execution. The gun nuts (many of whom are diehard Republicans) have gone "hang on, if they can get away with that, the door is opened to coming after our guns too".

More and more people are being peaked as the atrocities mount up. When Renee was murdered, a Republican congressman said to a Democrat words to the effect of "this is wrong, but you know I can't say it out loud". Republican politicians were too cowardly and fearful of MAGA retribution (look at how they pounced on MTG over the Epstein files) to speak out.

Now though, Congressman James Comer (R, Kentucky) has said that ICE should leave Minneapolis, and Senator Bill Cassidy (R, Louisiana) has called Alex's murder "incredibly disturbing".
