To ask how to repackage heavy item in box so it doesn’t fall through?!

AIBU to ask you lovely people how to repackage a heavy 14kg item (dehumidifier) safely in a box?? It’s faulty and need to send back but it came with white secure plastic strapping which you cut off and can’t be reused, and tape alone isn’t enough to hold it! The bottom of box detaches like a cardboard tray and the top part lifts off instead of regular box way which makes it harder.

It’s meant to be collected tomorrow! As you can tell I am not at all practical

if you have clingfilm, why not wrap it around like it’s swathed so to speak, then attach any labels.

Wrap it in ductape, it's a thick sellotape, it will hold. Ideally you want the black stuff.
