Yes I guess it's the chopped one, but I've actually just realised it's the Aldi "deluxe" mature cheddar and chorizo cheese bake , which is not camembert at all , don't why I assumed it was! ( I bought that much cheese over the season that I've lost track).
Do you reckon this is ok? I've checked the date again and this one only went out yesterday. I would be eating at the weekend.

It will probably be fine. We love cheese and I regularly buy nice cheeses from the deli for weekend lunches. Somehow I've never bought a baking cheese although we love toasties etc. Lidl do very good strong cheddar.

Re breaking 'rules' with chorizo, I sometimes buy chopped chorizo for cooking and don't use the whole tub. It doesn't advise freezing but is fine and it's quite useful to have a handful to toss into a risotto.

If it has a furry white mould like cotton wool or anything black green or pink on or in it don’t eat it. Otherwise it will be totally fine.

I’d smell it, and if it’s ok, I’d eat it.

I have one dated 6th December - I have a habit of buying them and then forgetting about them as they languish at the bottom of the cheese box.

I'll eat this one and I've eaten similarly antique ones before with no adverse effects- I just cook it well.
