I can’t believe I just made a Lloyds account. Sort code, account number. /alsorts, with no id!!! Mad

they will use your details, if you have a passport or driving licence you can corroborate digitally or they may write to you

Did you do it online? There will almost certainly have been some electronic validation about yoyr identity.

You are either

1. already a customer of LLoyds so they know who you are. Or
2. you have completed stage one and will have an email with everything including how to upload your ID documents digitally.

I was hoping OP could sort me out with a Swiss passport tomorrow in exchange for a pony.

Santander did this I only filled in the online form week later card and pin arrived i never realised it had even gone through

What accounts do you have already?

I did this with Lloyds and someone else I can't remember, but my ID was verified against my credit report. Thankfully, as I don't actually have photo ID.

Lloyds is part of a bigger banking group so if you have a relationship with eg Halifax, Bank of Scotland or Scottish Widows then they already know everything about you.
