H&B magnesium citrate tablets … I swear they’re an actual choke risk

are they all so massive?? I have half a bottle I dare not take as I feel like I’m dicing with death everytime

Those of you who swear by citrate, what brand do you use??

Can you not break them in half?

CuppaWhiteTea · 18/01/2026 23:17

Good to know the H&B ones are massive as well. Avoid Solgar at all costs too. My DH laughs at me each night as I fling my head back while trying to wash a huge boat-shaped pill down my gullet. My life practically flashes before my eyes. They were really expensive, the bottle is ginormous and it never seems to end. They do help me sleep though, once safely swallowed!

The Solgar ones are massive! I now take a smaller H&B capsule. Much easier

OMarina · 18/01/2026 23:26

Wassen are the only brand I’ve found that are not massive. I too always felt like I was playing Russian Roulette swallowing H&B’s. They do them in Boots but always seem to be out of stock, but you can get them online!

I chew them. Tastes chalky but it's not as unpleasant as feeling you will choke on them

Helpforsummer · 18/01/2026 23:43

I nearly choked on one the other week it was stuck for ages 😷

Soft coated ones by Viridean. Take them at night, easy to swallow

Isittimeformynapyet · 19/01/2026 07:48

Vitamin Geeks are capsules and they suggest dissolving the contents in water. I get them on Amazon.

Fizbosshoes · 19/01/2026 07:58

I thought the same with H and B ones, I bought them to (try to) help sleep but just thought I was going to choke....and they didn't really do anything. Breaking them in half didn't make it much different

StrugglingwithIvanhoe · 19/01/2026 09:07

I've changed to magnesium gummies, can't bear swallowing big tablets.
