9 year old girl and friendship struggles

My daughter has always been generally more reserved, I fact she had selective mutism in early years which she has overcome and we are so proud.
her confidence is growing but she’s never had lots of friends, and has multiple occasdions of diffetent girls being unkind and mean over the years.
one of her 2 friends has started being unkind, one minute hugging her, the next crying to other children saying her and other friend are mean.
i have no reason to believe my daughter is deliberately mean or difficult, of course she is not perfect but she gets so upset in these situations where other girls seem to target her.
my DH now thinks it’s been so many times it must be our daughter.
i guess i am asking should i be concerned she only has one friend? I’ve tried to tell her the importance of making other friends, getting to know other people. Etc

It's a tricky one. Cab you organise playdates at yours so you can watch the interactions?
I'd suggest therapy so daughter can work on her skills.
Having selective mutism means compared to other kids maybe she's a bit behind with her social sicjs and needs some support. Not blaming her, just that role-playing yourselves it with toys the different scenarios might be useful.
