Found £20 in a coat pocket, got a free latte as person in front had a buy one get one free, Virgin Media said they made a mistake with my contract change and refunded me nearly £200, dropped an onion I was peeling and the whole skin just popped off.

I feel like I’m made of magic!!!

What a good day! I haven’t had a ‘lucky day’ but I have had an excellent day after yesterday being pretty awful (won’t go into it). Got a lie in til 9. Son’s first session at new hockey club and he smashed it. Kids getting on well all day. Lovely day out at a park. Roast dinner going well when I usually get stressed and disorganised. Kids want to watch Happy Feet later which I love. Having a nice glass of wine while the house is calm and happy.

Will it all go to shit tomorrow. Maybe. But we’ll cross that bridge …

This week I have :
Found the tenner I lost under my car seat - despite me and dh looking twice each there already.
Found £40 in a hoody in the boot..
Gone to specsavers to have glasses adjusted and the woman has ordered me a new pair free!!
And got paid early do all dd will go out tomorrow!!

I had a week like that - got a free coffee on Saturday because i was trying to use a discount voucher and the till didn’t work properly, so they just gave it to me for free - then mid week went to buy a muffin in Pret (the apple And pecan one - if you’ve never tried one DON’T! They’re too good!) and they gave it to me for free (no idea why). But best of all, I put an offer on a flat I want to buy expected to get a flat refusal because it was so low, instead I just had to add a teeny bit to it and the offer was accepted, way lower than I was ready to pay! (Don’t feel bad for the seller, it’s a demon landlord with 30+properties whereas I’m a newly single mum and just managed to get a new home for me and my children that I can afford)! Somehow the free muffin made me smile the most though 🤣

Once as a skint 20-something I needed to go into London for the day and it was going to cost me every penny I had. On the way to the station a commuter coming the other way handed me his just-purchased travel card because he'd been called back home again. Then I got to the station and went to buy breakfast in Pret and they gave me my whole order for free, for no reason. That way a great morning!
