DD does drama on Saturdays with Perform. They do an original show each term that has songs and dances. It's expensive but worth the cost for how much she loves it.
Each show has an accompanying app, and this is a very small aspect of the whole thing so please don't tell me the classes are important and the app isn't. I'm very aware we could do without the app at all. But on the app there is always a video for each song and poem, with real adult performers performing it, and they're high quality. DD always loves these videos and they're excellent for practising at home because it's a real performer you can see how the song/dance should be done.
This term they have a new show which is about the toys in a toyshop coming alive and rebelling against the toyshop being turned into an AI experience centre. Which is ironic because the videos this term are AI generated and look like ass. The toys in the videos are performing the songs (e.g. a toy race car) so the dance can't be included. Although even in the one sung by a ballerina toy, it still obviously does not include the dance they learn in class because her ankles twist backwards multiple times.
I'm annoyed they've tried this effort-free shite. I thought they'd have higher standards than that. I guess creative output gets shittier and shittier from this point on as companies try to save a bit of money and prioritise that over high quality output.
