I absolutely had to eat them, what’s worse is they they went in whole! He was thoughtless and as a result I was woken up from a valuable nap; thus the imperative of heavy duty jaffacaking.

YANBU, losing out on necessary sleep is absolutely a genuine reason to need to eat the jaffa cakes

YABU for eating McVities (if they were) when the M&S versions are exponentially superior. (Especially the lemon & lime ones.)

I'd murder him if it were digestives or hob nobs but Jaffa cakes is just the loss of a couple of toes... that'll learn him

Ahem! Lidl and Aldi Jaffa cakes are excellent, much cheaper than M & S and are even nicer if kept in the fridge!

I haven't tried theirs so couldn't say, but Markies are superior over McVities principally because the tangy jelly bit is truly edge to edge, and not a daft blob in the middle. And they're rectangular, which is oddly pleasing.

Very delicious indeed. Sadly only small, probably 2/3 the size of the brand that I used to eat so clearly one needs a larger pack. But oh they are good!

You are all being very unreasonable because you have made me want Jaffa cakes and there are none in the house, and even if there were, I am type 2 diabetic so can’t have them.

I had cherry ones from either Lidl or Aldi once. They were delicious. I can eat a whole box of jaffa cakes with a mug of coffee. Obviously, this should not be attempted by amateurs. 😃

I'm SO jealous! I'm on a serious no spend month restricted to buying only milk, bread and fresh veg and jaffa cakes don't come under that list but now you've all made me want to try each and every brand mentioned

French supermarkets have brilliant ranges of different flavoured Jaffalikes. Cherry, raspberry, lemon, pear, some with plain choc, I could go on but I’m dribbling on the keyboard….
