He handed me the phone to do a quiz and and I clicked off the main iphone page and seen one of the tabs he has used was ‘Tinder’ - clicked on it and it took you to the app store to download the app - it did not look like it was on his phone
He has 436 of those tab things on safari

I have not said anything

I am 29 weeks pregnant

Sometimes when I scroll on Mumsnet, if I click an advert when I scroll it opens a tab for it. If he has 400 tabs open and doesn’t have the app downloaded then it sounds like a similar thing.

I wouldn’t worry if it was just an open tab, presuming there is no other reasons to worry anyway

Arlanymor · 11/01/2026 18:57

If it's not downloaded, it's not downloaded. Seems like just an ad tab and he's really sloppy with his phone admin and never closes pages.

LearningGuitar2026 · 11/01/2026 19:11

Defo an ad tab. Even more so if he hasn’t downloaded it. Congrats on pregnancy. Make a joke of it about all the open tabs and you’ll tell by his reaction that I bet he will just be worried about you being worried.

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 11/01/2026 19:38

It’s not downloaded.

Chill out.

Why didn’t you just ask him about it?

TalulahJP · 11/01/2026 22:27

hes not downloaded it so hes not using the app so it’s fine.

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 11/01/2026 22:29

I would just ask him about it. It’s probably an advert that has opened a tab

TrixieCat · 11/01/2026 22:33

If you have an account, surely you can just add and then remove the app each time you use it? Apps download so quickly that it's not a huge amount of hassle and I suppose avoids anyone accidentally coming across it. I agree with those saying ask about it and judge his reaction. Most likely nothing, but I don't think the absence of the app necessarily guarantees that

Nobody would do that. Stop stirring.

Gliblet · 11/01/2026 22:41

Yep, advert tab - sometimes you don't even need to click on the ad for the tab to open and you don't necessarily know its opened (they sit in the background waiting for you to close the tab with the main website you've been looking at).

This alone is making my teeth itch and is a LTB offence.

TrixieCat · 12/01/2026 00:23

I wasn't stirring at all. I was briefly confused by the question being asked if the app wasn't there, then thought about what one of my kids had done with Snapchat when I'd taken it off their phone 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you’re worried make a woman’s profile yourself and see if you can spot him there.
