ive been on 2 lots of antibiotics for a nasty chest infection. Crackles and bloods suggested it was a “significant bacterial chest infection” and was told that I needed fluids in hospital so stayed for 2 nights in mid December.
vomiting, fever, chest pain, breathlessness, green plugs of mucus, diarrhoea, crushing headache, body aches that made me cry. Complete loss of appetite combined with a 9lbs weight loss.
the main symptoms passed about 4 days ago but I still feel horrendous. I can’t do anything with chest pain/breathlessness. I’m exhausted, I can’t stay out of bed for more than an hour. My cheeks are flushed with no fever. My headache is still there. Appetite back a bit but mostly just bland foods like toast and crackers. No vomiting but persistent diarrhoea.
I’ve added vitamins, drinking loads, resting when I can.
im so annoyed at my body. I need to go back to work!!!
anyone had similar experience with a chest infection? What helped?
