Need some advise

First time posting on here,

Me and my ex have a mortage under shared owndership both of our names is on the tenency etc

Im thinking about getting on the council waiting list for housing etc just wondering how long the process is and if im able to be on it while still living at our house until its sold?
We have 2 children under nine

You need to check with your local council. The rules and waiting times vary by council and your eligibility will also depend on the amount of equity you will get from the sale of the property.

In my area you wouldn't be eligible for being in the housing list.

Waiting times vary as well, some places you would be months, others would be decades.

The only place that can give you the correct information for your area is the local council.

What makes you think you'll be eligible? Sadly it's very easy to stay in social housing once you're in, (even if you no longer need it), but it's very difficult to get one in the first place.
