Had a weird fall recently . (I’m 34 so it’s not ‘a fall’ but I equally didn’t fall over)

I was in the shower and I was getting out of the bath to grab a new bottle of conditioner. I don’t know how but my left legs slipped outwards as I put my right on the floor. I ended up smacking my head on the toilet, landing really really hard on my elbow, shoulder and also my hip. My left leg remained mainly in the bath.

Oh My Word I am in an entire world of pain still. I am quite shocked at how much pain I’m in. It’s just such an odd thing to have happened! Am I alone in being shocked and a bit shaken (ridiculous) by this?

photo is of my hip not arse it’s just a really bad angle!! I did ice it but it doesn’t appear to have done anything!

What did the hip land on? It is quite the impressive bruise!

I fell out the shower a few years ago, knocked myself out cold. Unfortunately it was when the hairdresser was here who heard the thud and came to check on me (I have very low bp and a heart issue so prone to fainting).

I got in late the day before so I fed the dog in the bathroom (he’s on watery raw so if I’m going straight to bed I feed him in the bathroom so it’s easier to clean if he’s a bit messy) so I landed on the rim of his metal food bowl. That’s the line in the middle!

oh no! Did the hairdresser see you in the nud? Not sure I could ever get them back 🤣🤦‍♀️

Do you think it needs an x ray? It is weirdly numb but also thick underneath the bruise, it’s like a rock

I fell over in the bath while having a shower, standing on one leg (don't ask!) and doing something ridiculous like trying to wash my hair at the same time. I hit the side of the bath and ended up with a huge bruise like yours but darker, and also bruised my ribs, which took weeks to heal. I was really nervous about having a shower for ages afterwards, even though it was an avoidable fall. Fortunately I now have a walk in shower.

I also fell a few years ago, don't know how, and hit my shins on a piece of metal at the edge of the door. I had no idea how painful shins can be, and they also took weeks to heal.
