So tired

For the past couple of months I have just felt so absolutely exhausted. I have a relatively easy life. I’m 47, happily married, an 11 year old who at the moment is really easy, a dog who I get out walking with quite a few times a week, work every day but part time hours. Come 6.30pm I’m shattered beyond belief the last few weeks. If I could get into bed at 6.30 I would. I probably get a good 8 hours a night so I don’t know why I’m feeling like this. Is it my age? Perimenopause maybe? Does that make you shattered? I haven’t been to the GP for years but am wondering if I can request some blood tests to make sure there’s nothing more going on. Or am I over reacting 🤷‍♀️.

Go and have an MOT/blood etc. it could well be perimenopause, but you need to rule other things out before deciding what to about that.

Vit D or B deficiency could cause this.

Or anaemia , get your HB checked please.

Yes, a full blood test is needed.

I’m the same. Had full bloods all ok. vit D on the lowest side of normal so starting supplements. Wonder if it’s just the time of year of dark evenings? My child goes to bed at 7 and I could easily go then! Manage to watch a bit of tv but sadly manage nothing productive past 5/6pm as dropping!
Hope it passes for us both!

Make sure to ask for Vitamin D and B12 as they don’t normally do these unless the box is ticked on the form.
when my Vit D was low I could have slept for a month and still needed more sleep.
