Help me out fellow mums. I’ve been invited to a wedding in May. I haven’t been to a wedding in 15 years. I’ve got my dress already, do people still wear fascinators to weddings?

The venue is a really posh expensive hotel.

No, and most don’t wear hats anymore either. ☹️

I would! I think they look lovely

I went to an end of Summer wedding last year. I wore a fascinator, and lots of others did as well. I’m 32. A lot of the older women wore some beautiful hats.

If you want a fascinator or a hat - get one! It doesn’t matter what’s “in” or not. Do you!

Rather than a fascinator, I'd likely wear a fancy, sparkly hair clip of some sort.

A few people wear them or ornate hair bands/fancy hair clips.

We crossed posts!

I'd try some fascinators on with your outfit, and see whether you like it with or without the headgear. Sometimes a discreet but fancy fascinator can be the difference between an ordinary and extraordinary outfit, it can complete the picture, especially since the wedding is in what you call a "posh" venue! Worth a try anyway I'd say, rather than dismissing it.
