They've increased the monitoring to live video weigh ins and height checks. Nowhere registered has loosened checks.

Who is they? Can you be clearer on what you’re saying , very few pharamicies do live weigh ins and height checks, I’ve used several suppliers over 18 months and never had this, nor is it a requirement.

please clarify who “they” is. And name a number of suppliers who do this, past the ones who always did like oushk etc the additional support ones.

edif also I never said they had loosened checks either. Again are you quoting the wrong person as you jeep responding like I wrote something totally different.

I'm a doctor, but there are loads of medicines that if you stop taking them the condition or symptoms reoccur, so I am surprised that anyone would think that WLI are any different, especially if people haven't changed other parts of their lifestyle e.g eating less junk food overall, not simply because you are full.

I’ve got no view on all this, but in the 70’s people did use smoking as an appetite suppressant. It was sold as a benefit.

When I wanted a quick weight loss help in the 80’s, I went to a private doctor who prescribed something. The bloody tablets sent me manic. 😳

It turned out later he was prescribing Speed. Not recommended.

People need to try what they like if they need help to lose weight - it’ll either work or it won’t. No need for arguments. 🤷‍♀️

@Boomer55 - most of my grandparent's generation seem to have either been in Valium or speed. If my family was typical they were way more medicated than us 😂

That's hilarious. I fully intend to link to these posts the next time someone asks why obesity rates were so much lower 50 years ago!

FWIW I have tried to suggest to family members that Slimming World is a waste of their money in the past. It is SO time consuming. Nobody is going to.keep that up. Im sure it was designed like that on purpose so thay people regain and come back and spend again. Im interested in the injections Don't think id personally use them at the moment but happy to support those that do. Its a lot easier to maintain than cooking food from strange ingredients and taking to other people's house with you!

Slimming world really pisses me off. It has the highest regain rate at 97 percent, I’ve a relative who has done it for decades, literally decades, always regains, always then trots off back to the meetings, and the cycle continues. she’s been fat for about 20 years now.

It’s such a high failure, Because no one, but no one wants to be eating laughing cow light and ryvita, sugar free or fat free for ever, and volume eating free foods, or having syns is not sustainable for nearly everyone.

so of course they fall off the wagon, people think they are successful if they lose. They are not. Succes is maintenance. Keeping it off.

normal diets have a 80 percent regain, slimming world is 97. No idea of the drugs, except I’m staying on, a low maintenance dose, and this is the first time I’ve maintained my weight ever, with ease.
