To think a story partly based on the Huw Edwards scandal would be better than the direct TV dramatisation they plan?

I don't know...I think it's a good subject re the institutional cover up of his behaviour.

But I don't think a dramatisation fairly soon after is really fair on the victim or Edwards' family who are presumably wholly innocent.

Given he’s been in hospital with serious mental health issues, I’d query if it’s really appropriate to make a drama of this story at all tbh.

Programme makers always want take advantage while the story is still fresh in people's minds but I don't know it feels dodgy is my initial reaction. An investigative documentary would be more appropriate. a drama would seem to be more about chasing ratings

Call me Cynical but historical events are controlled by the victors and thats rarely the victims. So to get a media friendly version of events out there before what is really going on in our media landscape that so many abusers are shielded and enabled. They are controlling the narrative this way and for dramatic purposes it will be a version of events but from what perspective ? Remember this is how it will become future fact thats why its getting stamped into the culture so soon

Also Bone Temple where a Cult leader is a carbon copy of Saville without the SA with child disciples imagine if its triggering me that he is made into the Boogie man for the culture and then think of all the victims who he was the real Boogie man are they not just extending his reach into the culture as the stuff of nightmares but in an iconic way again will this not confuse who the guy in tracksuits blonde joke hair and gold jewellery was . He was fact not a fictional character again enabled by the media culture he was in everyones front rooms just like Huw.

What are the going to do, dramatize what went on with the "young person" before all the paedophilia stuff came out? We don't really know the details there, and rightly so. Seems like it would be very unfair to them.
