Ryanair suitcase size.

Has anyone come across this before? I've asked so many questions about this on Google and every time the answer is the same.
I've screen shot the answer from Ryanairs own website.
I wanted to know what dimensions are allowed for a 20kg check in bag.
Answer: 120x120x80cm. Which is HUGE! Anyone been recently and can tell me if this is correct. Or researched this themselves and get the same answer?
I'm really worried it's wrong and I'll turn up with my much smaller but still large suitcase and it'll be too big.
I will be absolutely keeping the weight to 20kg.

Look on the Ryan air website?

While I wouldn't put it past Ryanair I've never even considered a size limit would be a thing on a checked bag. Generally space in the hold isn't as limited as it is in the cabin (even for the likes of Ryanair who discourage you taking anything at all so they can fill it with cargo) and weight will be more of an issue than physical space.

Yeah, check in bag dimensions are pretty large, Norwegian is something like 250x120 before it becomes excess baggage.

Why would you not believe Ryanair's own website?

Pretty sure that's right but if you got a suitcase that big and packed it with clothes or normal holiday stuff it'd be hugely over weight.

Dimensions don’t really matter for checked bags because it’s just going under the plane. It’s only carry ons that really matter. Just make sure it is in fact that size and under 20 kg.

Edited

I'm just checking really. I'm going on my own and starting to feel pretty nervous. I just thought that it has to be a mistake.
