Do your kids actually wear helmets on scooters, or is it just mine who argues?

Mine argues but I tell him it's non-negotiable. If he doesn't put his helmet on, he doesn't get to play on his bike/scooter/skateboard

If you're going to insist^, make sure they're on properly, and adjusted for size, secure fitting.

^(there are arguments as to why they're not necessary, but this is not the time or place)

Of course I insist. Even though he rides on the pavement, I don't trust motorists not to veer onto the path (we have actually had this happen before and I had to pull my son out of the way otherwise he'd have been dead). And I'd rather his helmet was scraped to bits than his head

I always insist just in case- have you had a good adjustable helmet? I am looking at a number of makes ie Micro etc...

Mine used to argue. I never give in so he knows its not an option. Never ever let them ride without a helmet and they won't argue about it after a while. when DS was 2 he threw an hour long tantrum about it. If I'd have given in, his next tantrum would have been 2 hours. If you give in to a tantrum you will never win.
