Sitting here trying to pay my toll charge for using the Blackwall Tunnel.

Firstly I tried to create an account and I can’t do that as despite only driving through their once and getting fined for it already I now apparently have an account

Tried to sign in to said account but I need my Account ID and PIN number etc
Which I haven’t a clue on.

If I don’t know any of my details it says I have to call a number

But when you call the number it wants your account id before you can proceed

If I have forgotten my details then how do I know my account id.

How do you pay this toll.

No wonder so many people get fined for not paying.

AIBU That telling you to call a number if you don’t know a piece of information and then asking for the information before you can proceed is ridiculous

The whole website is designed to make you so angry you give up and feel like the £90 is probably cheaper than the damage to your physical and mental health

I feel your pain - the amount of time I waste on stuff like this drives me round the twist.

it is utterly LUDICROUS that things like this require a sodding PIN in the first place. Oh yes, because the Evil Hackers will all be queuing up on the dark web to fraudulently pay for people to drive through tunnels … hahaha Evil Hackers, think twice - your cunning plans have been foiled and you shall not log in without a PIN!

Why on earth does ig need a PiN or account? why? Just enter a car reg and pay. When we used to use Pay & Display machines we didn’t log in and provide account details. The whole world has gone mad.

I have no idea how you pay this. It’s looking like I am getting a fine and then I am going to spell it out in several long paragraphs as to why I couldn’t pay this toll because their website doesn’t work when you don’t know your account ID, your mothers maiden name and first school etc (not joking)

Dont get me started about the multiple Pay On Line signs with no reference to any website or how much you have to pay. The only sign I have seen that spells out what the cost is gives you no alternative but to pay it because once you have passed it you are in the Silvertown tunnel. I have yet to see anywhere where the Blackwall tunnel signage refers to cost.
