My current school is “requires improvement” at the moment, which does not count anymore. I be ice as they have moved and become part of a trust in the last two years, so they are technically a new school. We expect OFSTED anytime now; we are constantly being observed without notice, books taken, scrutinised, etc. Policies are being changed, timetables are being changed. All of this, of course, adds to the stress as it’s a lot of change in a short time, and they had two years to do all of this; they haven’t. I joined in September as long-term supply.
I just want to know what people’s experiences have been if any of you have been observed as a one-form entry— year 1 teacher or year 2. How the day passed, etc. I have no partner teacher, and it’s my first year teaching year 1, moving on from EYFS from another school.
Have any of you been observed in the latest OFSTED framework? What happened? What didn’t look at? What did they ask?
