To not want to go anywhere and just enjoy home?

So last year we bought a new home, we are so in love with it. We have done lots of work and we have it pretty much all done and perfect now. The only thing is I HATE leaving to go places, we went on holiday in Oct and no sooner had I left I wanted to go home. I’m back to work today after the Christmas break and I’m hating not being home. This is not healthy is it? Tell me others were like this and it’s worn off?

Wish I felt like this about my house, maybe I did when I first moved in, I absolutely hate my house, I wish I could move or sledge hammer it. What have you done to make it like this besides the bathrooms that you mention.

I also hate leaving my home too much! I'd rather spend money on making it as nice as possible than go on holiday. Dh feels the exact opposite though, so we have to compromise a bit

I feel a bit like this about my house & even more so because of my dogs!

If someone did all the planning and paying for a holiday I'd go and enjoy it (my Mum & Dad used to do this) while missing the dogs, but really I'm quite happy pootling around with the dogs at home.

Throw into the mix that I'm an anxious traveller and going away all gets a bit daunting while being at home is delightful.
