To complain over 50p?

The snow isn’t the best here and I’m full of cold so last night I ordered a Asda order through uber.
The pies I ordered were out of date by 2 months (November 2025) and the mash was open.
So I contacted Uber and they have refunded me £2.50.
The pies were £3.00 and the mash £1.99
The mash should be okay to use so I won’t mow but why £2.50 ? When the item was £3.00

Uber said the max we can refund is £2.50

Would you complain over 50p ?

I would email Asda's head office, they should send a prepaid card refunding you. As mentioned I would let environmental health and trading standards know because that is terrible.

Shouldn’t you take it up with Asda rather than Uber? I mean, the mash could have opened on transit but surely the out of date pies are the fault of Asda?

Contact Asda, if it's their food they should refund you.

AI on a quick Google says to contact Asda for picking or damage issues.

Why would you eat something that arrived opened thats rank. We have an Asda petrol station near us and you have to be so careful with the dates on things, often you grab something quickly and then see the they are 4 or 6 weeks out of date, its criminal.

I'd be ringing council, or whoever deals with health if it's an ongoing problem. Not good enough as some people are vulnerable to bacteria.

It’s not uber eats that you need to take it up with it’s Asda because it’s the people who work in Asda who get the stuff off the shelves not the Uber eats delivery drivers.
