To ask if you've done any genuinely helpful parenting courses?

Posting for traffic. I was having problems with my ds becoming physically and verbally abusive a few years ago. He's neuro divergent, and I was really struggling as a single mum with disabilities myself, as he was becoming physically bigger and stronger than me. I'd come out of an abusive marriage, and so the abusive behaviours were very triggering for me. It felt like being in an abusive relationship all over again, only this time, I couldn't leave him.

I did a parenting course called Empowering parents. It was a bit American, but the strategies were genuinely helpful, and in all honesty, life changing. Things are much better now, although I know that he'll never be a perfect angel. The abusive patterns and behaviours have simmered right down, and he's overall much more respectful towards me.

I'm just looking at another parenting course called Sharny and Julius I think? It's specifically aimed at parenting teenagers. Has any one done this course please, and was it helpful?

Yes, NVR, and while I haven't done the course, apparently the ones based on Eddie Gallagher's work are good.
