Teenage Allowance/Pocket Money

Help and advice please as i don’t know if I’m being unreasonable. How much money do your kids get per week as an allowance / pocket money - age 13- 15. Is £20 enough? And what age would you expect teenagers to start looking for a little weekend job!?

I think it's entirely up to how much parents can afford to give.

It's really different these days for teenagers to be able to find a job at 13-15. Even 16-18 year olds are struggling. I think £20 a week sounds plenty if you are still making sure they have clothes basics and the odd treat here and there.

I make mine earn their money at home. No cleaners, gardeners or car washes paid for in my house as teens need money.
Though I have hit a very bad blip with oldest uni student who thinks that because all the rich uni friends get everything for nothing that is how her life should roll 🙈 She will learn though!
