To wish I could just sleep flat with the duvet pulled up around my neck?

Mum to a 2mo DS with silent reflux. DS won’t tolerate being flat on his back for very long, and wakes after 15 mins in the bassinet so we are chest sleeping. Bought a wedge pillow, following safe sleep guidelines for co-sleeping, I.e. separate room/bed to DH, double bed, sleeping in the middle, firm mattress, duvet over my legs only etc. But god, do I miss sleeping in whatever position I want, snuggled in a big thick duvet pulled up to my ears 😢

Reflux is awful. My eldest slept in a jumperoo for a solid month when he was a baby. Had to be bolt upright, couldn't even tolerate chest sleeping. No incline at all. We were at our wits end with it. Dr gave us this little foam wedge kind of like a travel pillow that went behind him, to support his head and neck It eventually resolved when we switched to goats milk formula so that might be worth trying. I hope he grows out of it soon, I remember how horrible it was.

FlowersThis too will pass.
can your DH take over some nights/part of the night and let you have a good sleep however you want?

If you’re bottle feeding, reflux milk with cbg worked wonders for my dd x

That sounds absolutely awful OP.

Can your DH at least look after whilst
awake himself for some blocks of time on the weekends (in the late evening and/ or early morning perhaps?) so you can get some decent sleep yourself, lying down with the duvet on as you describe?
