im early days post flu and am not feeling too bad apart from an awful cough. I’m trying to get to sleep and if I’m not coughing my chest is making the crackliest wheezy noises. I’m going to try and upload the noises it’s making. I haven’t had this with coughs before and am wondering if I have a chest infection or one brewing. Can only help? It feels upper respiratory. Cough mixture and honey and lemon isn’t touching it and it’s impossible to sleep.

I'd go to the doctor.

The crackle is a red flag. That’s how I’ve had pneumonia start a couple of times. Get yourself to your GP or an out of hours if your GP isn’t open this week now. You most likely need antibiotics before it gets any worse.

Mines the same. It normally passes after about 3-4 weeks unfortunately. My lungs are generally healthy as I’ve had tests on them.
