To have eaten an entire Christmas pudding for dinner?

I absolutely was not, and I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. £2 from m&s and, given DS is at his dad's, I managed to squeeze in a yoga class this morning and went for a run after cleaning the house this afternoon.

I'm now settling down with a hot mug of tea and my book after a bubble bath. Bloody bliss.

Christmas pudding is only ok in small doses once a year.

With hindsight, I should have bought custard too. I was too excited in the reduced section and overlooked this.

Did you have custard, cream or brandy butter?

Westpoint · 30/12/2025 20:20

I'm impressed!

YANBU at any time of year

InterestedDad37 · 30/12/2025 21:11

I think you deserve a round of applause 👏👏👏
I did the same yesterday (with custard). Given to me by my ex when we met up on boxing day (she doesn't like it, had been given it as a work pressie).

I am quite obsessed with Christmas pudding. I often crave a pudding with some lovely, cold double cream at various times during the year! Absolutely NU!

No judgement from me OP, just pure envy!

I love this for you

Bikergran · 30/12/2025 21:30

According to most desserts that I would happily eat in a single sitting, I am a family of 4 or 6.

DrCoconut · 30/12/2025 22:39

I can't stand Christmas pudding but syrup sponge and I'm with you. Just awaiting the "a single raisin will last me until next Christmas" crowd now.

iamnotalemon · 30/12/2025 23:03

I don’t like Christmas pudding but if I did, I’d do the same 😂 so no judgment here

Fernsrus · 30/12/2025 23:13

I had a similar main meal! One slice of bread and cheese, and a piece of home made Christmas cake, minus the icing but with the marzipan.

Thedogswhiskers · 30/12/2025 23:40

But don’t you have a sore tummy now? All that dried fruit …..
