I absolutely love them. They are very popular. I don't think they're too expensive, as long as you aren't buying the dozen.

I quite like them. There’s a place for ultra-sweet and synthetic. But I suspect that if you ate more than one at a single sitting you might go into some form of hyperglycaemic coma.

Catwoman8 · 29/12/2025 20:40

There are quite a few flavours and some of them are sickly sweet, but some of them are nice. I think the price is fine as a treat as it is more like a dessert really, they are not something I would buy regularly though.

SereneCoralExpert · 29/12/2025 20:42

They're junk food, but have that Krispy Kreme taste, some love it.

When we sell them at school to make a bit of money for the PTA, we have to take pre-orders (and we only offer pre-order on boxes of 6 and 12) and whatever quantity we buy extra for the day, disappear immediately.

So they ARE popular and people not bothered about the price!

It's a bit like McDo, you don't go there because it's good value, it's not.

Doyouthinktheyknow · 29/12/2025 20:43

Love the iced ring ones, sweet and light so I could inhale 3 without feeling full! Don’t buy them as a result!

The icing reminds me of yum yums which are more substantial and cheaper so if get them instead but I’m trying to stick to a healthy diet so it’ll be neither for me!

Sutant0 · 29/12/2025 20:43

They’re really awful. We had a tray of them at work. I took one bite and binned mine. I love a Dunkin though.

CosmicTea · 29/12/2025 20:44

Never had one. I just assumed they are full of UPFs and not something I would want to put in my body. They hold zero appeal.

UninitendedShark · 29/12/2025 20:45

They are disgusting. You couldn’t pay me to eat one.

Purpleturtle45 · 29/12/2025 20:46

Not worth the price at all. I prefer Greggs.

Twinkletwinkly · 29/12/2025 20:47

They’re £3.49 for a single donut. I suppose they might work out less per donut if you can afford to buy 6. They’re grossly overpriced due to the hype surrounding them. I think Greggs filled donuts at £1.35 are much nicer.

plinkyplonk123 · 29/12/2025 20:47

Me lol I love a good Kristy Kreme donought

Dysonquery · 29/12/2025 20:47

@DancingPony you have me craving me one now. Shocking lack of good home bakeries in England.

SereneCoralExpert · 29/12/2025 21:03

At least with Krispy Kreme, you know what you are getting, they're consistent.

I can't find any decent jam doughnut anywhere (not that I've tried 100s of bakery either, I am not that obsessed 😂)

UnctuousUnicorns · 29/12/2025 21:10

IceIceSlippyIce · 29/12/2025 20:37

Not fussed by them either.
Fresh mini doughnuts at the seaside, or Morrisons jam doughnuts for me.

I can still remember the bag of hot, freahly fried and tossed in sugar, ring doughnuts that I bought and ate at New Brighton forty years ago. They were full sized, five or six to the bag, and absolutely glorious. I've never tasted doughnuts as good as that since. 😋

Danikm151 · 29/12/2025 21:11

I like them but can’t justify paying the prices for them now.
12 used to be about £6/7 in tesco but now it’s extortionate

jen337 · 29/12/2025 21:13

Krispy Kreme are utter shite, wouldn’t buy them at any price. Greggs jam donuts can’t be beat.

BlackeyedSusan · 29/12/2025 21:20

The jam ones in a bag from Asda are way better.

Blasterplaster · 29/12/2025 21:22

They’re really horrid. I would never buy that sort of thing but my boss used to buy them if they wanted us to work overtime. I’m really greedy with a sweet tooth and would always make the mistake of trying one. Utterly vile. The filled ones are the worst. They look great but the inside is so synthetic it’s totally inedible. Like eating shaving foam. Maybe if you mainline nothing butUPFs and are used to eating additives you might not notice - they’re made for the American market afterall - but if you have any sort of palate or are used to eating proper foods they’re inedible.

CheshireCat1 · 29/12/2025 21:26

They’re awful

PhilandKirst · 29/12/2025 21:28

They’re disgusting. Get a jam doughnut from a proper bakery.

Beeinalily · 29/12/2025 21:30

We were treated to some as a "thank you" during Covid - I was so disappointed! Definitely not worth the price. Lidl toffee yum yums, however...

Amiunemployable · 29/12/2025 21:33

Only doughnuts worth having are hot sugar doughnuts from the fair 😋

whatohwhattodo · 29/12/2025 21:35

You should check the prices at donutelier…..they are about £18 for 3………

SereneCoralExpert · 29/12/2025 21:35

😂😂😂

that's why I love MN.

Seriously, unclench, they are not that bad, and you are not that grand 😂

Ohitsatiara · 29/12/2025 21:38

Lidl triple chocolate donut. That's it. Nothing else to say.

edwinbear · 29/12/2025 21:39

I like the occasional Krispy Kreme but they are very sweet. If the DC want to try them as a treat, sign up to Too Good To Go and you can get 6 for £5 at the end of the day. You won’t get a choice of flavour but you’ll get a selection of what’s left at the end of the day.
