AI Slop

Apparently, a fifth of new YouTube users are “AI Slop”. My social media feeds a beset with AI Slop videos - Pope Francis in heaven eating cake with the last three Popes; a man saving a fox from an icy lake; a man saving a raccoon from a giant wave, etc.

It’s in total rubbish but is this any different to the plethora of cat videos and other nonsense that already filled the internet? AIBU to think it’s more depressing?

Never heard this term before. It's depressing in it's own right.

Apart from using MN my only social.media use is the occasional look at what's happening locally on the town's Facebook site. So thank goodness I'm not seeing what you are seeing.
