Love wine but want to find another way

I absolutely love wine and don't want to give it up, however do want to cut down. I drink on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night but want to lose one evening. However I love the relaxed happy feeling wine gives me and need to find an alternative to relaxing at the weekend. I'm looking for something in front of the tv - already colour, play games, read, need something that replaces that relaxing wine feeling. Any ideas?

Valium?

Yoga. Highly recommend.

It seriously, 3 nights isn’t bad. Depending how much you drink on those nights?

Well you're looking for a dopamine hit, so anything that gives you that really.
I don't drink at all now, a side effect of mj and it's so much better, you just don't crave the hit anymore.

All alcohol is bad for your health though. It literally damages your DNA.

I know it sounds boring but what about herbal teas? Sometimes I find all I’m looking for is the comfort of “sipping SOMETHING”…doesn’t have to be wine. Also tea making has some rituals similar to opening a bottle.

We used to have wine with our Sunday dinner, but have now, for the most part, switched to Kylies zero alcohol sparkling white. It feels special, but no bad feeling the next day.
I find having zero or low alcohol alternatives has really helped me cut down. I have 0% gin, Tanquerry, and tend to go for that now instead of the alcoholic version.

CBD drinks with ~30mg in. Drink 1-2 depending on your reaction.

Ceremonial grade cacao - more of an open hearted, loving kind of feeling, but contains a lot of caffeine, so potentially keeps you up if you drink it in the evening. Nice for afternoon/v early evening though.

Breath work - various breathing exercises can help you alter state in that way.

Meditation (not mindfulness, that's also good but different) / hypnosis / yoga nidra. You can listen to a YouTube one, or use an app like Headspace. Use Brave browser or similar to avoid ads if on YouTube.

Hot bath with aromatherapy oils (not so much with TV though)

Salmon, cheese, eggs all contain tryptophans which promote serotonin production. Would be a very very subtle/unnoticeable effect, but physiologically they might be good nibbles to have.

CBD gummies to make you relaxed. 🍬
Trip drinks full of magnesium and goodness.l 🍸
A partner for a saucy session 🙃
A vibrator for a back up. 💃

Or to really relax, either listen to a podcast or watch The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross
