To think he’s stupid?

I have a cousin who goes trail hunting regularly. I have nothing to do with her and never have as she’s a snob just not a nice person. She openly went fox hunting before the ban and said they were vermin.

Her father, my uncle, thinks she’s the best thing since sliced bread. So he is dead against the new hunting ban as she is, and says they shouldn’t be banning it because no animals are harmed. Meanwhile He is a strict vegetarian and won’t have cats because they kill animals.

AIBU to think he’s naive and stupid? Everyone knows what really happens. Anyone who wants to see an animal get ripped apart is vile and sick in the head. I don’t particularly like foxes but wouldn’t want to see any creature tortured this way. It’s barbaric to get any glee out of it.

It’s difficult to believe that a vegetarian for the animals type but doesn’t realise trail hunting is a cover for a real hunt. What did your uncle think of his daughter when she went hunting before the ban?

He sounds thick and your cousin is a cunt. I’d just stay clear of the pair of them.

He just wouldn’t discuss it and would change the subject.

They must both be part of the culture of “people who hunt” and can’t cope with giving up that culture. Even if logically it is dumb.
