The kids grow. I'm always selling the kids clothes.

I’ve always got a Vinted bag on the go.
I add to it periodically.

Woahtherehoney · 28/12/2025 21:58

I regularly sell stuff. Usually my DSS’ old toys, clothes I know I won’t wear anymore, bits I find when clearing out. I only do a few bits at a time so it’s like a steady stream - not deliberate it’s just as I find stuff that needs selling.

Kids outgrow clothes
no longer interested in certain books
getting rid of seasonal clothes (halloween, christmas jumpers)
unwanted presents
lost weight and have a ton of clothes to sell (my favourite reason 🤣🥳)

How do people find the time/organisational ability??

TwistedWonder · 28/12/2025 22:05

I sell my clothes on Vinted all the time. I’ve sold two dresses I wore over Christmas today.

I buy outfits on there, wear them and then resell. So I’ve got a constantly fresh wardrobe

FettleOfKish · 28/12/2025 22:07

I’ve sold quite a lot the last year or so on marketplace but I have an 18 month old so it’s all clothes / equipment / toys he’s outgrown. Where we are things like sleep bags, puddle suits, slings have quite good resale value if they were good quality in the first place. I only sell if the amount I can get is worth the faffing about with messages / arranging collection though. Anything else goes to charity, either charity shop or the local baby bank.

Once it becomes a habit, like taking out the recycling. I love doing it when I find the time as it makes me feel less guilty getting rid knowing it’s gone to a good home. Then I can use the credit for new stuff. Win win!

nancpmf · 28/12/2025 22:10

I can believe it, I admire them and wish I could be them! I’m far too lazy and end up taking most of it to the supermarket charity bins.

notnorman · 28/12/2025 22:10

Im putting two things on Vinted every day at the moment. Have sold four today so will have £46 in the pot!

Helpforsummer · 28/12/2025 23:00

The kids grow and I have far too many clothes, I could probably list a thing a day for a year 🙈
