Shamelessly posting here for traffic. Please help! We are having a fancy dress party for New Year’s Eve and the theme is 2025.

For context I am going as Elpheba, my husband is Donald Trump, and my sisters are the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.

My brother in law needs ideas - please help Mumsnet!

PP’s Louvre thief idea is good. High vis jacket, lots of cheap costume jewellery and a tiara.

Dress up in lots of glittery sparkly things with postcards of London Eye, Big Ben etc showing the fireworks display - maybe add a necklace or cards counting down from 10 to 1 and carry some sparklers too. Or dress up as Trump with his Tariffs Board. Did we have a new Pope this year? Borrow a copy of the Guinness Book of Records and walk around with a large Margarita - a new record for largest one ever made was set this year! Dress up in Football strip for whoever won the FA cup this year.

I’d say Vecna from Stranger Things if it wasn’t such a challenge. Steve is a good idea as above.
