Are nasal aspirators bad for toddlers with colds?

Aibu in thinking they are prob going to cause harm? 2 year old can't blow hose and has a runny nose that's going down his throat causing a cough

How? It's a soft suction cup with a nozzle. Don't stick it too far and you'll be fine. They use them on babies.
