(I have never seen a ghost of any kind before, was sure I saw a woman sitting on a wall and started bracing myself to pass her as thought she'd probably be odd sitting on the dark like that but when I got to where I'd seen her she was gone - and on reflection she looked very like me)

I used to work nights and often thought I’d seen a person but got closer to find it was a postbox or road furniture.

I see all kinds of things that aren’t there. Your brain can play amazing tricks. You might see something that resembles a part of something else, and your brain can add in all the missing details automatically. I saw a red parrot on a bush in my garden, eyes, big yellow beak, the works. When I walked over, I could see it was just a red flower. The yellow beak was nowhere to be seen!

Yes generally that's my take on the supernatural but I am sure i saw her and I walked right past where she was sitting (on a wall as though she was waiting for someone). I even had a look around to make sure she wasn't hiding and waiting to leap out.

I was convinced there was a tortoiseshell cat sitting under next doors car, I even smiled at it. Next morning it was still there, except it wasn’t a cat, it was dried leaves on a piece of a hedge that had blown under their car.

Every time I approach a certain junction I’m convinced there is a young girl sat on the pavement hunched over. It’s a temp rpas sign held down by a sand bag.

If it was dark, I would say your mind was playing tricks on you. As a pp has said, your brain will try to fill in the gaps. There's a tabby cat at the bottom of my garden, it's actually a bit of a tree stump my dh needs to get rid of. But every time, despite knowing it's there my brain thinks for a split second it's a cat.

I sit with the window to the left of me when I watch t.v. . Out of the corner of my eye I often see someone walking on my path outside the window .
When I properly turn my head to look , no-one is there . I think it's just your brain playing tricks on you.
