Cricut Explorer 3

I got a cricut explorer 3 for Christmas and set it up today. It seems easy to use but I can’t get it to seemingly cut the vinyl properly, it’s so hard to see where the cut marks are and you have to angle it in the right light to get a vague glimpse at the cut marks. Then when you try and weed it, it tears the vinyl as you can’t see what you are doing and it definitely doesn’t peel off easily as it isn’t cutting sharply enough. It’s almost like the blades need lowering a bit. I’m using all the official cricut vinyl. Can the blades be lowered or am I just being stupid! Help! Thank you. I have got the idea of how to do it but something just isn’t right 🤷‍♀️

Are you using the correct vinyl settings on Cricut Design Space prior to cutting? You may need to adjust the pressure to more or less depending on what kind of vinyl you are using. It does take a lot of practice and getting used to, I'd recommend watching TikToks and using Pinterest for tips! 🙂

It can be tricky at first.
You def need to experiment, try cutting on vinyl+ and doing 2-3x cuts and adjust the pressure, cut lots of circles before you get it right and move on to the more intricate stuff
I had to learn patience (I’m not a patient person). I recommend joining Facebook groups and looking up Jennifer Maker tutorials. Even with advice I had to figure some stuff out for myself

Look at other brands of vinyl. I use HTV ront, MDP and sparkle craft is meant to be good too.

You’ll get there and you’ll soon be away, I’ve had my cricut for 4 years and it’s soooo much easier now

(When I say 2-3x cuts), I mean to programme in settings. I’ve got an older machine so not sure how it works now, but basically it does the multiple cuts one after the other, before it finishes
