That’s it, I think if your house is lit by Arctic icebergs then you really have no business hosting.

I have warm lights everywhere or so I thought. I don’t usually turn on my entrance hall spot lights but when I did this week - they are cool! I’ve not replaced them yet but wonder if I’m a psycho.

Each to their own as I’m really not into judging others for their interior design choices. But. My neighbour has bright white lights and a white a bright pink Xmas tree! It’s a vibe!

Yanbu.
Cold white = miserable.
Blue, or worse, flashing blue, should be illegal.

Chinaandbrass · 25/12/2025 20:20

YANBU who wants to sit in an operating theatre on Christmas Day!

wheresmymojo · 25/12/2025 20:25

YANBU. Should be outlawed.

Along with outdoor blue flashing lights which give “emergency services” more than “festive”.

Very new build

I’ve always preferred warm lights and have them everywhere in my house. Except - when I got a new kitchen installed in a porcelain colour, the warm lights made it look like a deep cream colour. Hated it. So had to switch to cool lights for the first time ever, but only in the kitchen!

MorrisZapp · 26/12/2025 23:07

There are still flats round here with fluorescent strip lighting on the ceiling.

CraftandGlamour · 26/12/2025 23:13

YANBU. Absolute eyesore. I can't stand the serial killer's basement vibes the cool blue lights give off
