I’m feeling pressured to share mine. But feel like I need to keep my orders private.

is there a way I can share it, but hide my orders and past orders away from them?

Why do they want you to share it? Do they just mean access to Prime Video?

Midgetgemsplease · 25/12/2025 12:00

Just say no. Boundaries n all that. It's a tenner a month. They can get their own

RedToothBrush · 25/12/2025 12:02

No.

You can have yours cancelled.

tinyspiny · 25/12/2025 12:03

I’d share the prime tv in that I’d set in on their tv but not tell them the password . I wouldn’t share the actual Amazon but I’d happily order something and get them to pay me back .

No, they said we can split the cost for Amazon prime and to use for deliveries

I think you can only have 2 adults in an Amazon 'family' anyway so I don't know how sharing it would work? Personally I wouldn't share it - if Amazon block your account because of it then you'd lose all you digital content like Kindle books etc...!

My husband and I share prime and I can't see his orders or he mine via the household sharing thing. Not sure if it works across multiple addresses though

Rahul88 · 25/12/2025 12:05

I thought you have to be at the same address for prime deliveries

No you can set different addresses , I often order stuff for our pony and have it sent to where she lives .

EchoedSilence · 25/12/2025 12:08

I wouldn't share it but I'd happily use it to order for them.

I love the mental image of this _ I imagine the driver taking a photo of your pony with their parcel

Oh really, maybe it’s to do with settings then?
because I share with my husband currently and I can see his orders

Does she answer the stable door and have a chat with the Amazon driver 🤣

Theslummymummy · 25/12/2025 12:36

Yep you can. I did it when I didn't want my daughter to see her gifts.

mydogisanidiott · 25/12/2025 12:56

It’s really annoying when my in laws ask to get them stuff all the time and return it because they are just too tight to pay for prime. If there are finincial difficulties maybe the odd thing. But I’ve been there and it becomes a bind. I had to order my own presents. She ordered something g that was wrong and moderately expensive (£100) but because it was a market place it had to be returned to china and buyer paid postage and it took hours on the chat to sort out and never resolved!

Vaxtable · 25/12/2025 12:57

No I would not share. You would have to remember to swap addresses all the time, and you would have access to their card details and them yours and you would have to make sure you always have the right card

Its not expensive, they can bet their own

Also if you're not buying enough to justify the cost just pay the postage for the few things you do buy. They are being a bit cheeky, I wouldn't want to share either

thank you

I do this with my parents. They don’t give me money but they send the link, I order and change the delivery address. They then transfer me money back straight away.

I'm sure if you go into orders you can select invoice and when you go onto that it gives you an option to "hide"

AndSoFinally · 25/12/2025 19:21

No one else can see what you’re ordering. You have 2 completely seperate amazon accounts and just share the prime benefits

TeenToTwenties · 25/12/2025 19:24

We just order things for my elderly DPs and every now and then we 'invouce' and they repay us.

Potatoelephant · 25/12/2025 20:13

you can share your prime with someone else at a different address. They have a completely separate account to you.

go to account settings, prime membership, share your prime benefits
