AIBU? Baby swollen red nipple

My little boy 18 months has a red and swollen nipple, I noticed it around 6pm when he was getting in bed bath.

it doesn’t seem to be bothering him. I spoke to our GP and she didn’t seem too concerned and said call back Monday if it’s still there.

any noticed anything similar before?

with being Christmas tomorrow and no doctors services open easily, I worry.. and I certainly don’t think it warrants A&E.

thoughts? I’ll attach photo - he’s already on amoxicillin so she said it would cover it anyway

my paed nurse neighbour just told me to put sudo on it

and 111 said speak to GP by Monday.

Are you breast feeding? I remember this happening do my dd n gp said it was probably something in my breast milk, it was 20 years ago so can’t remember full reason but I know it settled quickly

Hi @CaffeineChaosandCuddles I was on your other thread about your DD's fever. I'm sorry you have another thing to worry about in the early hours of Christmas morning. I have a son about your age who's going into his fifth day of fevers and I'm awake with him not able to sleep because I'm worried. My 6 year old daughter had one red nipple for a couple of weeks earlier in the year. We never knew why it happened although the doctor thought a random hormonal thing. It went away on its own. I hope your daughter is alright and I hope you've already managed to get back to sleep xx
