We are away for Christmas and arrived yesterday. I have unpacked everything (or so I thought!) but have realised at 4.30am that I don’t know where I have put the bloody indigestion tablets!! So, if you were a box of Rennies, where would you be hiding? 🤣 I even bought a large box of so I would be prepared!!

Near the kettle

CarlaLemarchant · 23/12/2025 04:56

With the paracetamol.

Cablescablescables · 23/12/2025 04:58

I always have about 5 boxes stashed round the house 😂 medicine tin, bedside table, messy kitchen drawer, handbag!

Leftittothelastminute · 23/12/2025 05:02

I usually have them everywhere but typically only brought the new box with me! Paracetamol are in the bedside drawer but no sign of the Rennies! I’m going to have to wake everyone else up by going through all of the kitchen stuff we have brought. It’s going to be a long day!!

Toiletries bag.
Or caught up between a stack of clothes.

BoldBlueZebra · 23/12/2025 06:06

so you came in from the supermarket and unpacked the food - where did you put small things of similar shapes - oxo, cheeses, jelly squares, chocolate. Did you buy similar items that live together or near each other in the house?
what were they in the bag with- where are those items?
where is your purse.
check the car boot

Amba1998 · 23/12/2025 06:08

Mine are in the car in various coat pockets in various handbags and in my toiletries bag

never far from me!

CynicalSunni · 23/12/2025 06:39

I put a packet in my husband's stocking this year.

in the purse
in the shopping bag
in the fridge, mistakenly
where other medicine is
under random clothes
in the hallway - you dropped them before going somewhere else

FayKnights · 23/12/2025 07:21

Inside a shoe.

I still miss those chewable foamy ones they used to do, slightly better off topic!

Hope you find them.

MamaBobo · 23/12/2025 07:25

Other suggestions based on experience….

Still in a case or bag, check pockets and really turn the bags out
In a coat pocket
In the boot of the car
In with things they aren’t supposed to be with…food shopping or bags of presents?
Under/around beds or wherever you unpacked

Think back to when you were packing…what were you thinking about when you packed, did you get distracted by something or someone, did you think I’ll put these (wherever) to keep them handy, if you can walk through what you actually did sometimes enlightenment can be found!

At least you’ll be able to buy some more if they don’t turn up….would have been worse on Christmas Eve!

Actually I'm quite surprised to hear that Rennies still exist.

Rennies are something we used to have in the house for occasional use when I was a child but I've not taken for over 50 years.

gingercat02 · 23/12/2025 08:09

I gave up on chalky indigestion tablets years ago. I just buy an OTC PPI now, like these www.boots.com/boots-acid-reflux-relief-omeprazole-capsules-20mg-7s-10369600

scaredysquiggle · 23/12/2025 08:12

Car ones are in the glove box, when away they are in my wash bag, emergency spares are in handbag

shellyleppard · 23/12/2025 08:13

Kitchen drawer or coat pockets?? In the car somewhere? Underneath the car seats/glove box? Mine are always in the desk drawer lol

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 23/12/2025 08:13

Under the fridge
In the dog/cat bed
In the fridge
In a trouser pocket.

ElizabethsTailor · 23/12/2025 08:14

In the bottom of your handbag. Or possibly in the front pocket of your rucksack.

falldowninabump · 23/12/2025 08:32

I’m on mounjaro so get random bursts of heartburn - as soon as I buy a box, I split it up and put some in my coat pocket, the car, by the bed and in a drawer at the office.

Also check the car boot and make sure they’ve not fallen out a bag somehow.

veryunsure2025 · 23/12/2025 08:33

Did you find them OP? I agree they are probably caught up with clothes or still in the suitcase - fingers crossed

I’m like that with Ibuprofen.

Omeprazole are great.

A friend of my husband’s pronounces it as ’ome appraisal, and now i can’t say it any other way!

Leftittothelastminute · 23/12/2025 11:37

No sign of them so I’ve bought some more….. 2 packs🤣. I’ll probably find them in the hallway at home when I get back after Christmas!! 🤣🤣🤣
