To feel bad for Daniella Westbrook, Katie Price, and the like?

Daniella is having yet more surgery. I presume that she’s having it abroad as UK surgeons won’t touch her now. Same with Katie Price and numerous other celebrities.

Ive always had a bit of soft spot for the likes of Daniella. I loved her when she first came onto Eastenders. She was so young when she became famous, and it clearly destroyed her. I imagine that a lot of men made good money out of her and have dropped her like a stone now that she’s the way she is.

Danniella Westbrook on repairing her cocaine-ravaged nose

To this day, former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook refuses to keep a mirror up in her house, unable to look at the face that was once her fortune.

I feel sorry for them both as they have royally fucked up, not just their faces, but their lives.

No because they are all attention seeking absolute nutters. Most normal people would never have them as friends

Nutter? Do you mean someone with a mental health problem? You can’t feel sympathy for someone with a mental health problem?

Yes, I feel sorry for some of them. I don’t think their completely responsible for their life experiences but neither do I think they’re blameless.

With KP and other parents who abuse their children I find it difficult to feel sorry for them. I know they may have had horrific lives themsleves but on a emtional level I struggle to have empathy as it’s so far removed from my experience of parenting.

NotAnotherScarf · 22/12/2025 20:22

Why can't they walk away from the fame. Top flight footballers back in the day went from 50,000 signing their name every other week to running a pub. Sian Gibson was a star in Phoenix Nights then working in a call centre. Gretta Garbo was probably the biggest star in the world and walked away.

Sadly these people get sucked into the idea of fame. I've heard that another enders actor who has hit hard times repeatedly says things like " because I'm famous I...". It is a ego thing. They need to realise that they had a little talent, a pretty face and both fade.

I know who she is, this thread isn’t about her though. She’s nothing like Katie Price or Daniella Westbrook.

Umm where did I say she was I was using a comparison on who I felt sorry for not those who choose to do that to themselves then have surgery.

Anyway merry Xmas 😂

Anxietyismenow · 22/12/2025 20:29

Problem with katie price though is she blames everyone else which doesn't help. All I see with most that have surgery is they just keep going with it again and again.

I am interested to know what her nose will look like (Danielle westbrook) as there was alot of damage done.

Vitriolinsanity · 22/12/2025 20:32

Yes, but they all bleed out about how they were abused as kids whilst simultaneously having inflicted abuse in their own kids. Whilst that may be fairly usual for kids that were abused, this lot have exposed their kids publicly, that bit is choice. They constantly get interviewed saying how much they love their kids, then drag in another loser man, blow yet another job chance, spend more on surgery, get interviewed saying how much they love their kids. And on, and on.

I read the KK article about her Only Fans gig. I read the article about KP and her latest dabble with weight loss and yet more surgery. Now we read about DW and her nose.

The only miracle in this shitshow is that somehow the kids seem to be pulling themselves out of the mire. KK’s daughter is at Uni, Princess is media tastic. Let’s hope they all get better advice than their mothers when it comes to looking to the future and proofing it.

I do feel sorry for them, they have ruined their own looks and lives, but that doesn't man one can't feel pity for them.
Maybe if they hadn't both found fame at such a young age, their lives would have been different.

This sums it up imo

I think people also find it confusing how much KPs stories change.

Also Ive seen her posts attacking other people yet says be kind to her...

I have a soft spot for Daniella as I remember when she was first on Eastenders in the 1990’s. I read somewhere that she was first offered cocaine at 14- how the heck did that happen? She clearly wasn’t being safeguarded and if an addiction starts that young, it must be so difficult to escape, your brain and body aren’t even fully developed.

I know that some people like Drew Barrymore overcome early addictions, but I imagine that it’s taken a lot of treatment and will power.

Vitriolinsanity · 22/12/2025 21:13

The recent DW article was interesting in that it mentioned a number of her peer actresses: Michelle Keegan, Suranne Jones etc. At the same age I don’t recall them being better than DW who was fab in EE but you can’t help wondering if DW had had better advice or support would things have turned out differently.

On the other hand, she lived locally to me for a while and was widely regarded as an utter cow. KP also lived locally and paraded an utter local prick on telly. So, you know, maybe it is actually them.

BruFord · 22/12/2025 21:46

@Vitriolinsanity I just can’t imagine my children going to parties at 14 where coke was offered around. Being offered a beer or cider is one thing, but she must’ve been around adults with no supervision.

Cicadasounds · 22/12/2025 21:51

FOJN · 22/12/2025 18:31

Bit difficult for them to get an office job and if they can't get acting or modelling work what are they supposed to do?

Yes they've made some very bad choices but I suspect they were quite exploited when they were younger and now they're considered over the hill, fucked up and disposable.

As a pp noted there are probably plenty who made lots of money from them.

This. The tabloid machine is absolutely brutal and disgusting and I don’t think many of us really understood any of that back then.

There lies the emotional neglect. We all know how this traumatises young people, as in we wouldn't blame survivors of the grooming gangs but it is the same thing just with different levels of money involved

PurpleSky300 · 22/12/2025 22:11

The kind of fame these women had was worthless, flash-in-the-pan exploitation from the very beginning. They were literally set up to become tabloid sideshows, and they willingly played along with it for easy money. They could have chosen an ordinary job at any time and walked away but they didn't want to. See also: Bonnie Blue and the likes, in 10 years time.

PermanentTemporary · 22/12/2025 22:17

They seem horrible, but I can’t forget an interview Piers Morgan did once where he was spitting such venom about Jordan as she was then - saying that she was having a moment but would soon be washed up and forgotten. While making money off her. The entire ecosystem was designed to maximise exploiting and using up damaged people. Feel the same about Gazza.

Why can’t they get an office job, or any type of job? One is an ex glamour model and the other is a C list actress, hardly A list celebrities. And even they shouldn’t be above having an average job should they need to.

Whatafustercluck · 23/12/2025 09:33

I used to work with a former Met police officer (quite high up) who said it was common knowledge within the force that Brian Harvey essentially used to pimp out Danniella Westbrook for coke. What with the news coverage about paedophile rings, and the animosity between them, their relationship dynamics certainly have taken their toll on her over the years. I err more on the side of feeling sorry for her and can see this being true. In which case, she's been failed by multiple individuals and agencies.

bruffin · 23/12/2025 09:36

I dont feel sorry for her, she used to live in my area and we were harrassed by phone for a week on a landline for a week by one of her dealers. I had to go to the police in the end and report.

Missey85 · 23/12/2025 09:45

There's a big difference between someone who likes plastic surgery and a coke addict 😂😂

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 23/12/2025 10:04

I do have some sympathy for Daniella because of how young she was, how brutal the press treatment was in the 90s and the fact the addiction has had an almost life long grip on her. I remember at one point maybe around ten years ago she seemed to be healthy and clean, living in America with her family and going to church a lot (IIRC the DM tried to claim she had joined a cult 🙄) but then her marriage ended and she went back to the coke.

Juries out on KP but I was surprised to read that she and KK are doing a bunch of live shows together talking about themselves. Who would pay to sit through that? And why?

MaybeNotNo · 23/12/2025 10:12

Im not paying to read that shit from the Daily Fail.

Sartre · 23/12/2025 10:12

Daniella’s nose is appalling. I find it shocking a good surgeon couldn’t do something to fix that really. She was very naturally pretty before so it is a massive shame but I suppose she’s a good don’t do drugs kids poster girl…

I’ve always had a slight soft spot for KP. She’s odd because her family seem so stable, secure and down to earth yet she’s clearly been off the rails for many years. If you look at her siblings and how natural and regular they are in comparison it’s quite a stark contrast. I know she was sexually abused though as a teen so possibly the trauma from this.

Feel she has been used and abused a lot over the years. Peter Andre is a twat, as is her last ex husband who was charged with child molestation.

TorroFerney · 23/12/2025 10:21

I feel sorry for their children who will probably go on to have issues. I would also imagine that none of them had brilliant childhoods.

Anxietyismenow · 22/12/2025 19:20

Tbh I feel more sorry for katie piper as she's had to go through with surgeries because of a violent and abusive ex who took revenge, awful.

I'm not saying that drug taking or obsession with surgery isn't sad everyone has their own story but it was by choice so there has to be accountability too. Even kerry katona is open and honest and says the same about her own drug taking.

Eh? This thread isn't about Katie Piper. It's about Katie Price.

Nooooo is it really 🙄😂 think some have been on the sherry already...

My point for those who seem to not get it... I ONLY FEEL SORRY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD TO HAVE SURGERY NOT THOSE WHO TOOK DRUGS KNOWING THE DAMAGE IT WOULD CAUSE!!
If you don't get my point move along honestly 😂
