To think AI generated real estate listings are so dishonest

Just seen 5 in our area, by different agents. One is a christmas themed one, where they have essentially insinuated the front garden is double its size by placing a 12ft christmas tree over 2 plots of land (think new builds where there is no boundary fencing). The others are all old houses, and they've used AI to show a dream kitchen and living room in first images, then the real images are hidden in 1 collage at the back of the album. One listing just flat out used AI, then when I looked at description it said "Ai images used". These are not new/concept layouts - its existing homes been tarted up to get people interested.

AIBU to think its just really dishonest and is wasting everyones time? If you dont check thoroughly or have an eye for AI (some of them are really good) then you would attend expecting a Palace and see a dump. Likewise it wastes the agent and the homeowners time being available to show them.

Never mind the listings, saw a story about an MP recently who thinks AI should take over the majority of the house selling process, and would allegedly make it more efficient. I've never sold or bought a property, but plenty of people I know who have found it onerous, but at least there were humans involved and scope for accountability. I'm less sure that AI would improve that on many levels, given its ability to "hallucinate" documented in court settings. Plus the shrinking of employment opportunities in the field.

But allegedly resistance is futile.....
