I discovered mumsnet by accident. I was searching for a particular topic some time ago and one of the links that came up was a mumsnet page. I don't have any children and live alone (so no in-laws) but I found the dilemmas that people find themselves in strangely compelling.
Some of the replies are quite useful too.
However, I have suffered from anxiety over the past couple of years and reading about difficult neighbours, troublesome friends, scams and all the other things that could go wrong are not exactly calming to my nervous system.
I know I shouldn't keep reading about these problems, but it is really addictive. Like driving by the scene of a horrendous car crash - you know you shouldn't look but can't help it.
AIBU?
Yes, you should stop looking at mumsnet if it is making you anxious.
No, it's interesting and could give you some creative ways of dealing with any CFs you might come across in your own life.
