Seen these online and wondered , does anyone have one ?
Does it block the bin up and does anyone stand in their wheelie bin to get more in ?

Don't stand in the bin! Dp did, jumped out, fell and broke his wrist.

The big idiot.

They look really handy. How much are they?

Kizmet1 · 19/12/2025 16:34

I use a spade or I just stomp about in there with my wellies on 🤣

We got one fromTemu for £15 .00 they are so good on garden waste like grass cuttings and on recycling like cardboard etc not so good on the household waste as it can burst the binliners undereath ..all in all its a fab bit of kit and I would recommend one.

We’ve got one, it’s really good, I can get an extra half a wheelie bin’s worth of rubbish in!

I keep seeing these on Facebook, people have told me to just let my kids jump in it but there’s no way my kids would stand in the bin 🥲 might have to order one

I have a question. Does the stuffer mean the bin goes overweight or is this not a thing?

Where I am in Melbourne, while no weight is cited, stuffed bins and ones where the lid won't close aren't collected and are instead given the sticker of shame.

IsPostingAGoodIdea · 19/12/2025 21:07

I got in the (recycling) wheelie bin once and got stuck as it’s hard to get out once everything has settled down. I wouldn’t recommend it. Surely you have something at home you could use eg a broom rather than needing a specific product.

Borborygmus · 19/12/2025 21:28

I frequently stand in the recycling bin, it works a treat.

Branwells77 · 20/12/2025 15:50

We have just recently got one my husband said he didn’t push too hard on the general waste rubbish as he didn’t want to burst bags or risk getting the rubbish stuck in the bin but the recycling bin is a whole different thing and you can really push that down and create much more space we are fortnightly collections and we stupidly missed the last general waste collection hence the purchase I do recommend it got mine from Amazon think it was £25

damemaggiescurledupperlip · 20/12/2025 15:58

Would it just rust if I left it outside?

mine is a coated one and is left out ..it seems fine up to press after 6 months ..you also can unscrew it and put it away for storage

Ponderingwindow · 20/12/2025 17:57

Because it is extremely windy where I live, if we don’t have everything in bags, they won’t pick up our refuse. I wouldn’t risk breaking a bag.

chunkyBoo · 20/12/2025 18:08

My husband stands in the recycle wheelie bin, we have two now but often they get filled up!

Fifthtimelucky · 20/12/2025 19:46

I have one, and find it very useful, but I only use it for the garden waste bin as that’s the only one I ever fill.

I wouldn’t want to use it for a bin with black sacks in, in case they split.
