I contemplated not sending my daughter for her last day of nursery on Monday but decided to. Lo and behold of course this close to Christmas yesterday morning she wakes up spewing and spews all day (she’s 4) today she’s eaten small amounts and kept it down but she’s drained.

we’re all going to be spewing out guts up or shitting our ringer out for Christmas now aren’t we? Yey!

There’s still a week! Hopefully you’ll have flushed it all out by Christmas

mumofoneAloneandwell · 18/12/2025 17:07

Ooo sorry

You still have a week girl

I'm of the same opinion, one more day for my dd so I am praying she doesn't get sick 😄 xx

Maintain strict hygiene and keep rooms well ventilated, you might dodge it. Plus also if you did get it, with your more braced immune system, you might not be as ill as your poor DD. Fingers crossed and well washed

NeverBeAPart · 18/12/2025 17:15

I’d say the weekend is the biggest risk - if you get through that (assuming DD has now stopped vomiting) I think you’ll be ok. And if you’re ill at the weekend, you should be over it by Christmas.

We've managed to dodge spreading the last two vomiting bugs DC has brought home around the family. Disinfect everything (everything they touch, door knobs, change the towel they dried their hands with, be meticulous.) Gloves to handle anything they were sick on then wash the gloves. Quarantine them away from others as much as you can. I try to deal with the sick child myself and keep DH and the others away because I trust myself the most to keeps the bug germs at bay.

Dont eat anything , i’ve found starving myself for a day or so stops the sick from happening although i still enjoyed a day of fluey symptons it was better than the alternative
